Nestled amid a grove of stately old Taos cottonwoods and spruce, our Taos bed and breakfast inn began as an adobe home built over 200 years ago.
Situated on 7.5 acres on a rise overlooking Taos, the small home grew into a beautiful bed and breakfast hacienda with a rich and colorful history.
Throughout the century it evolved from a farmer’s home to an artist’s estate and then to a guesthouse in the 1940s. Almost 50 years later it was rescued from deterioration and lovingly restored it in the Southwestern tradition.
These days, our guests can be found on warm summer afternoons relaxing with a book in the cool shade under the large veranda or in the evening, experiencing a fiery Taos sunset from our gardens. Quiet spots and enchanting views are easy to find on the spacious grounds, a birder’s paradise.
In the winter months you’ll find guests warming by the fire after a day on the slopes, snow shoeing, cross country skiing or gallery shopping.
In our charming breakfast room, you’ll find our guests checking out the spectacular views across the Taos Valley while enjoying scrumptious egg dishes, home-baked breads, muffins and granola, fresh fruit, juice and delicious fresh-roasted coffee.
All of our lodging rooms have outdoor entrances, private baths with Mexican hand-painted tiles and hand-carved doors and furniture. A few have large skylights, while others have kiva fireplaces…all have the spice of the Southwest. For more information on our beautiful guest rooms, including rates… click here.
We warmly invite you to come and experience the enchantment of northern New Mexico from our special Taos hide-away.
Your Innkeepers,
Bob and Cady Aspinwall
